UltraMatrix® – Main shell
The core of the suitcase. UltraMatrix® is a self-reinforced polypropylene composite, woven for strength, laminated for rigidity and engineered for low weight. It forms the high-performance shell that defines the suitcase’s durability and resilience.
ABS – External plastic components.
Used for durable, impact-resistant parts such as the wheel housings and trolley handle casing. ABS offers the toughness and lightness needed to withstand frequent knocks and rough handling.
Polycarbonate + ABS – Front badge bracket.
A blend of polycarbonate and ABS combines rigidity, scratch resistance and impact toughness to securely mount the front badge and maintain structural integrity.
Zinc – Front badge logo.
The Mous logo badge is made from zinc for its metallic strength, corrosion resistance and premium tactile finish – a subtle but durable design detail.
ABS – Internal plastic components.
Inside the suitcase, ABS is used for smaller structural parts like organisational frames and fixing elements, chosen for its toughness and dimensional stability.
Steel – Screws.
All fastening hardware is steel, ensuring strong, reliable fixing points for handles, wheels and internal components. Each suitcase includes spare screws to support repairability.
600D polyester – External pocket
The quick-access rear pocket is constructed from 600-denier polyester: a rugged, tightly woven fabric that stands up to daily wear and tear.
210D nylon – Internal zipped compartment.
The internal zipped compartment is made from 210-denier nylon: lightweight yet strong, with a smooth finish for easier packing and cleaning.
Polypropylene – Baked-in lining.
The interior liner is fused directly into the polypropylene shell, creating a seamless, weight-saving finish. This bonded design eliminates loose fabric and unnecessary parts while reinforcing the suitcase’s structural integrity.

What is Early Access?
Early Access is your opportunity to pre-order the Mous suitcase before general release and secure it at the best possible price. It’s how we reward early supporters while funding the first production run.
How does the Early Access pricing work?
Early Access runs in discounted tiers. The first tier offers the deepest discount and each one that follows increases slightly in price. The earlier you pre-order, the more you save.
Why is the suitcase on pre-order?
Because of the advanced materials and manufacturing involved, production takes around six months. Pre-ordering helps us invest in high-quality materials up front and ensures you get the best Early Access price.
When will my suitcase ship?
The first production run will ship in approximately six months. We’ll send regular updates and tracking details once your suitcase is ready to dispatch.
What happens if a pricing tier sells out?
Each tier has a limited number of suitcases. Once it sells out, the next tier opens at a higher price. All suitcases are identical – the only difference is the discount level and timing.
What is UltraMatrix® and why does it matter?
UltraMatrix® is a high-performance woven composite made from self-reinforced polypropylene. It’s up to six times more impact-resistant and twice as stiff for its weight as polycarbonate, delivering exceptional strength without excess weight.
How light is the suitcase?
Our carry-on weighs just 2.8kg (2.9kg with the compression pad), compared to around 3.5kg for most polycarbonate cases, meaning more of your allowance goes on what you pack, not the case itself.
Will it fit in airline overhead bins?
Yes. The suitcase measures 55 × 40 × 20cm, meeting most major airlines’ carry-on requirements. Always check your airline’s size limits before travelling.
Is it repairable?
Yes. Key parts like the wheels, handles, lock and badge can be replaced at home using a screwdriver. If needed, our Customer Experience team can arrange professional repair.
What does the warranty cover?
Your suitcase is backed by a 25-year limited lifetime warranty, covering repair or replacement for manufacturing defects or faults under normal use.
